At RTIS, we have a notary public on staff to provide notarizations for translations and all other immigration-related documentation.
A Notary Public is an official of integrity appointed by the Office of the Secretary of State in each state, and serves as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents.
Sometimes, notarizations are requested for certain legal matters. For instance, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) has requested notarized translations in the past, but they now usually only request certified translations.
A notarized translation includes completing the translation certification before a notary public, who will sign the certification and affix their notary seal prior to attaching the certification to the translated documents.
